Chapter 15: The Apple Store

W14th st  Chelsea NY

Not wanting to have their products in Best Buy or Wal-Mart ( although they are sold in those stores). Apple created the Apple store, a place where apple consumers can go and buy their products, get their products serviced in the Genius Bar, play with the new technology before they buy, and provide workshops ( most are free) to the public. Apple is a fast growing company the opening of the first Apple store was in 2001. And now in 2010 there are 231 stores opened worldwide and 231 of them being in the U.S. Apple having their own store is a great idea because it provides a feeling of security knowing that the people that work there know the products and how to answer questions about them unlike a Best Buy representative. Shopping at the Apple store is an unique experience you hear the music being covered up by the crowds of people. As soon as i walked in one of the many Apple store  workers came  up to me asking if I needed help. It did not feel like i been watched diligently all over the stores making sure that I dont steal, it felt like a genuine question. The store is fully packed with enough gadgets so everyone should be able to have a turn and most of the people already have these gadgets so its open to a lot of new consumers. And there were interesting workshops that they offer on how to use the products and programs. The smell of the store smells affordable. It's a great place, you can tell there is a lot of work behind every detail in the store and no two stores look the same so its a unique experience in each store.
